What "vetted" means here

Anyone can buy a drone. Flying one for hire legally takes a federal certificate, insurance and judgment. Every pilot in the network clears all five checks before taking a job.

Questions agents and builders ask

Who actually flies my job?

A Skybird Verified pilot based near your property. You'll know their name and certificate before the flight, and Skybird stays your point of contact.

Can you fly near the airport or Fort Jackson?

Often, yes. Pilots request FAA airspace authorization (LAANC) for controlled airspace around Columbia Metropolitan and Shaw. Some restricted areas aren't flyable, and we'll tell you up front.

What happens if it rains?

The pilot reschedules to the next good-weather window at no extra charge. Drones don't fly in rain or high wind, and the photos wouldn't be worth it anyway.

Do the neighbors need to agree?

No, but pilots keep the camera on your property, avoid capturing people in their yards, and won't hover over occupied homes or moving traffic.

Where do you work?

All of South Carolina, starting with the Midlands. If we don't have a verified pilot near you yet, we'll tell you rather than send someone untested.
